Having to put aside our anonymity as human beings was the hardest thing we had to do to build the farm. As it turns out in this new world of social media and hyper-connectivity people want to know who they are buying from. Personalities matter. Its not good enough anymore to make something great, there needs to be a story to go along with it.
The problem with stepping on that stage is that people automatically assume and expect a few things. First they expect you to be better than they are, second they expect you to be a leader. Both of those are heavy things! I know those things exist in this world. We all have people we look up to. I think we need those figures to look up to, to aspire to. But us??
As you look at us what I hope you see is a family that is dedicated to using our time on the planet to be useful to our fellow man. We love serving this community, we love the good earth and producing great food. I also know that you might see us on bad days, days that id rather just hide and not have a audience for. We are all born with things that we are great at, things that we can muddle through, and things that we will need to work on for our whole lives.
